Meet Terri

Okay, no big fanfare. It’s just me. Everywoman. Compulsive, controlling, craving chocolate.

Now, mind you, I’ve been around awhile. Long enough to celebrate my jubilee year—some time ago.

My handsome hubby, Bob and I have been married since 1974. Must say I love him more today than when we said our vows. And that’s not because he forgot his vows and wouldn’t look at me on our wedding day. Imagine his first whispered words to me at the altar were, “Don’t look at me, or I’ll laugh.” Yep. Course, that may have been because a few minutes earlier it wasn’t his bride who emerged from the limo, but my brother, without the ring. Where was I? In the caterer’s truck sitting on a bucket of cold slaw, with the ring. Long story.

We have a beautiful daughter, Rebekah, who is an incredible singer and financial administrator. Guess what, she works for me. Tee-hee. Is God good or what?

Writing has been my passion since the day Grandma set up an ancient Royal typewriter on a metal table with a cold metal stool, in 1960. My vivid imagination finally had an outlet, which was good because my mom thought I was crazy. All the stories tumbling in my head finally had a place to go.

While my siblings and cousins played outside, I stuck my tush to that metal stool (sometimes literally on hot days) typing the great American novel. Adventurous tales of rescues and damsels in distress. All illustrated by yours truly, and bound with tape. Still have some of them. They’re classics. Jilly the Teddy Bear. Flicka and Cathy. Like I said, classics. If you click on Books, you can see the more current classics I’m working on.

My other passion is Israel and the Jewish people. Makes sense. They’re the people of the greatest book of all, the Bible. As a member of the flagship of Messianic Jewish Synagogues in Philadelphia, Beth Yeshua, I’ve become a Ruth in an amazing community of Naomis.

These two passions of mine have merged in my writing. Whether fiction or non-fiction, my heart to see Messianic Jews and Christians one will radiate like the sun. Because, guess what, when we’re one? God will do the impossible!
